Make Life Better, Ride the aQuellé Tour Durban

30/03/2024Exciting news coming out the aQuellé Tour Durban offices this week is that, with almost five weeks to go, the official race shirts have started rolling off the production line.
A sample has been delivered and approval given, and the preliminary order has been finalised. However, the clock is now ticking for potential entrants. While anybody who pre-enters any of the cycling events – road, mountain bike or gravel race – will get a shirt, due to production timelines, only those riders who enter before the end of March will be guaranteed the size ordered.
So, you know what that means: Do not be the April fool and make sure you get your entry in before March 31 so you get the shirt size you ordered.
Please make sure when you enter, you put the correct size for your shirt according to the size chart on ROAG’s event info page for the aQuellé Tour Durban and aQuellé Tour Durban MTB powered by Cycle Lab.
Event director Alec Lenferna this week went live on East Coast Radio to launch the aQuellé Tour Durban on radio, and if the reaction to the sample shirt from J Sbu and Stacey are any indication, the design and quality is a winner. The two presenters of East Coast Radio’s Drive Show had a sneak preview and they were clearly impressed.
After riding the short road race in 2023, J Sbu will be taking part in the 42km road event on the weekend of April 20 and 21, and he was clearly happy to see the shirt he will be receiving.
And, while we are talking official race apparel, do not forget to order your official Gilnokie race socks when you enter. The crew at Gilnokie have created two designs of aQuellé Tour Durban socks which can be ordered from ROAG when entering. A portion of the proceeds from the sock sales will be donated to the event’s official beneficiary, the Domino Foundation. That means that not only do you get a pair of quality socks to commemorate the race, you are also helping with the great work The Domino Foundation do in and around KZN.
