With less than four weeks to go until the 2026 aQuellé Tour Durban in association with Cycle Lab, the entries are flowing in for all the races and the excitement is growing for both organisers and riders who have already booked their ride on 19th April.
We try and make everyone a winner at the aQuellé Tour Durban in association with Cycle Lab, and that always also includes people who are not directly taking part in the event – including the event's official beneficiary who recently received a welcome donation from the 2025 event (see below).
However, we also think everyone who enters this year's event will end up winning, even if they do not finish on the podium. This year there is a healthy bouquet of gifts for entrants with each rider able to claim more than the value of their entry in entry give-aways.
Starting the process is Cycle Lab who have generously given each rider a R100 voucher just for entering, and then extended their Early Bird offer of a service upgrade to everyone who enters. This service upgrade is valued at over R500 depending on the bike being serviced. Add in official race socks and more gifts from from participating stores at Cornubia Mall and elsewhere, and the entry fee is a bargain.
Some of the other benefits for entrants in the aQuellé Tour Durban in association with Cycle Lab include:
• full road closure;
• full on-course support, including safety, medical and mechanical backup;
• five water points on the route with toilet facilities, food and drink;
• post-event drinks from aQuellé at the race village;

ENTRY PROCESS
With four weeks to go, the final phase of entry is in operation. Riders are are reminded to go to EntryNinja.com to enter. Riders have five entry options, as follows:
1) KZN Cycling Schools Road Series Final – R300 – For invited riders from the KZN Cycling Schools Road Series. 6am start.
2A) Recreational ride – R300 – This is an untimed "open" event where riders can ride the route as many times as they want, starting when they want. Course open from 6.30am to 10.30am.
2B) 42km Timed Recreation Ride – R350 – Your entry includes timing. All entrants must have a FinishTime board (as used at Cape Town Cycle Tour and other events). Boards can be purchased with entry. There will be an organised batch start but riders can start at any time they wish. Course open from 6.30am to 10.30am.
2C) 84km Timed Recreation Ride – R350 – Your entry includes timing. All entrants must have a FinishTime board (as used at Cape Town Cycle Tour and other events). Boards can be purchased with entry. There will be an organised batch start but riders can start at any time they wish. Course open from 6.30am to 10.30am.
3) Invitation Race / CSA National Inter-Club Challenge – R675 – 100km on a set route starting at 10.30am. Entry includes timing by Finish Time. All entrants must have a FinishTime board (as used at Cape Town Cycle Tour and other events). Boards can be purchased along with entry. Recreational riders can upgrade and pay the difference on Entry Ninja portal. |
