Single out-and-back loop with full road closure on the M4 from Moses Mabhida to Mdloti turn-point.
This event aims to give weekend warriors a chance to test themselves with an achievable target. The hills are never too strenuous but the undulating route provides some beautiful scenery and a chance to be part of the aQuellé Tour Durban vibe.
Riders can do as few or as many laps as they want, there are turning points along the route to reduce the distance.

Full Route Description

Starting outside the Moses Mabhida Stadium Peoples Park on Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) northbound.
Travel along on Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) northbound.
Turn right up on Isaiah Ntshangase Road (at Durban Country Club)
Turn left up on Ruth First M4 northbound & continue northbound.
After passing through the Sibaya Circle, cyclists will continue to the Umdloti turnoff.
Proceed along the M4 in a northerly direction until the Umdloti bridge and make a 180 degree turn at the designated point.
Proceed south on the M4, passing through the Sibaya Circle by the BP Petrol Filling Station, proceeding south on the M4, passing the La Lucia offramp, Glenashley offramp and the Virginia offramp.
Turn right at Sandile Thusi (Argyle Road – contraflow) and proceed to the NMR offramp
Turn right on south bound offramp of Masabalala Yengwa Avenue contraflow to the finish line at the steel bridge
