Due the unfortunate cancellation of the 2020 aQuellé Tour Durban, although we cannot all be together on Durban’s roads this year, but we will be staging a weekend of virtual races on 25 and 26 July to make sure that we honour our commitment to the Domino Foundation, who are the beneficiaries of this race every year. The Foundation is doing incredible work helping families badly affected by the COVID-19 lockdown and we want to do all that we can to help.
To take part in these races, we are hoping you’ll join us on the weekend and all we ask is a minimum donation of R50 in lieu of an entry fee.
The principle platform for the delivery of the stream will be video streamed to the event Facebook page and YouTube channel. All you will need to be part of these rides is a computer or TV linked to the internet and to be able to stream these live streaming productions. It will not require sophisticated trainers and Zwift style technology. Get on a training bike or your rollers and enjoy the ride with us or should you prefer, go out onto your local roads and have ride – it is after all about us doing something together on the day. Share your pics and videos as comments on the Facebook page and let us all know how you got involved.
